Yankee Rose looking for back to back 2YO city wins

Debut 2YO Rosehill winner, YANKEE ROSE, lines up again tomorrow at Rosehill in the 'Jim Cassidy Golden Gift Handicap' over 1100m, worth $150,000.

Yankee Rose, trained by astute Warwick Farm mentor, David Vandyke, was very confident of a good showing on debut and she didn't disappoint winning brillantly 2 weeks ago.

Once again, Yankee Rose will be partnered by in form jockey 'Jason Collet'. Yankee Rose has improved from her first up victory with David Vandyke very confident that Yankee Rose can fight out the finish once again.

Winning or running 2nd tomorrow should provide enough prizemoney to gain a start next years Golden Slipper. Despite the distance being well short of her best according to her trainer, it will be a great kick off point as Yankee Rose will be better suited next year to the ATC Sires Produce and ATC Champagne stakes. A lot of water is to flow under the bridge but one thing is for sure, Yankee Rose is hitting all the right notes at this stage.

Best of luck to the owners!

We also have promising lightly raced 4YOM 'La Speciale' in race 7 tomorrow at Rosehill. Also trained by David Vandyke, this lightly raced daughter of Choisir has been very promising in her 5 start career winning twice and placing twice.

La Speciale should have just about won first up last start at Randwick after being held up at a crucial time. She will be partnered tomorrow by Sam Clipperton and looks to have a great each way chance.

Good luck to the owners!
