Sydney raider heavily backed in the Sir John Monash Stakes

A speedy 3YO has been the best backed with in early betting for the Sir John Monash (1100m) this Saturday at Caulfield.

The Bjorn Baker trained Malkovich was a strong winner at the track two weeks back against his own age. Now at WFA, and tackling seasoned campaigners, but does get Jamie Kah first time. $3 was the opening price and that has been taken, now into $2.70.

Villami, another Sydney visitor, is first up and is rock solid as a $4.60 chance. The class runner of the field is Viridine and he is unchanged at $6.
