Selita shows her true class
Selita, named after a supermodel on the catwalk and a daughter of Shaft, showed her true class on Sunday by breaking her maiden at Kembla Grange over 1200m in what looked a strong maiden.
Selita is a sensationally put together mare, big, strong, muscular type that has always show city ability. Injuries and bad luck had prevented her from winning her
previous 4 starts however on Sunday, jockey Adam Hyronimus sent Selita straight to front and although green, fought strongly to hold off her rivals.
Trainer Bjorn Baker was thrilled with the win and believes there are much better wins in store. Selita will head to Canterbury Wednesday week to contest a Benchmark 72 over 1250m.
Congratulations to all her patient owners
