French Stayer sells out in 24 hours

Darby Racing has been overwhelmed by the response from current owners and database to snap up shares in our newly aquired, lightly raced French staying filly named 'Eesha'.

Purchased late on Sunday night from the Arqana breeding and racing stock sale, Eesha the lightly raced French staying filly was syndicated amongst existing owners and members of our database. With over 80 enquiries, shares were sold out in just over 24 hours with a long list of owners waiting to get in if any owmers should fail to settle.

We are extremely excited about our first venture into importing some staying horses into Australia and this filly looks full of promise breaking her maiden in style by 4 lengths over 2000m before being purchased on sunday.

Eesha will head to Lindsay Park at Euroa to be trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig.

Eesha arrives in Australia on January 21st before being released from quarantine on February 6. Eesha will then commence her first preparation downunder with much anticipation. We hope to develop her into a top staying mare with dreams of running in some of our best cups races.

Congratulations to all who secured a share and to those who missed out, this is only the beginning so watch this space for future imported staying partnerships.
