Darby Racing and owners excited to have 3 runners on Day 2 of the Championships
Darby Racing and owners are bubbling with excitement heading towards Saturday April 14 for the Randwick Championships Day 2, with 3 outstanding chances in big races.
She Will Reign heads to the Group 2 $600,000 3YO Arrowfield Sprint over 1200m, with Ben Melham booked to ride for Golden Slipper winning trainer Gary Portelli.
She Will Reign comes off a disappointing run in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes however back to 3YO grade and ridden quiet, I'm sure you are going to see the old She Will Reign dominate her race.
Setsuna is looking to bounce back from a disappointing lead up to the Golden Slipper when she lines up in the Group 2 $600,000 Percy Sykes Stakes for 2YO's over 1200m.
Setsuna hadn't put a foot wrong en-route to the Golden Slipper before a head scratching last in the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes.
Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott at Randwick, Setsuna was given a freshen up and showed she is right back on top of her game with an effortless win at the trials on Friday at Rosehill. At her best, Setsuna would be right up to winning this race.
Greysful Glamour rounds out our runners on Day 2 of the Championships, our rising star 2YO that looks like the 1600m of the Listed Fernhill Handicap will be right up her alley. By Stratum out of a terrific European middle distance family, the Mark Newnham trained stunning looking filly looks set to take all before her after a dominant win over 1400m at Newcastle.
This is a filly you really want to keep an eye as she will only improve with time and distance and her astute trainer has a massive opinion of our glamorous grey filly.
Don't miss your opportunity to race a share in Greysful Glamour's half sister by Hinchinbrook. limited shares remain - click on the link for more information - http://www.darbyracing.com/hinchinbrook-x-ripple
