Darby Racing & Stuart Kendrick set to unleash impeccably bred 2YO
The 2015 January Magic Millions Yearling sales could be the scene of one of Darby Racing's most well bred purchases at a bargain price!
Lot 317, a bay filly by champion Sire, 'Redoute's Choice', out of the multiple Group 2 winning mare 'Hurried Choice', was snapped up for a mere $100,000 off Arrowfield Stud by Darby Racing earlier this year. Named 'Multichoice', this impeccably bred filly is part ownerd and trained by astute trainer 'Stuart Kendrick' on the Sunshine Coast and looks to so far have her share of ability after 2 impressive jump outs.
Multichoice won a 400m jump out up the straight of the Sunshine Coast coming from last, she put pay to them according to her trainer in a twinkling of an eye, ears pricked, she won by 2 lengths with a margin of 6 lengths back to 3rd.
Stepping up to the 850m yesterday in another jump out, this time with older horses, Multichoice was slow to begin before showing ulta speed to sit outside the leader, green on the bend before knuckling down to finish 2nd behind her older rival who incidently has already won a race.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick has been very taken with what he has seen so far and despite her lack of experience, may look to test her in the Listed Calaway Stakes Saturday week in hope she can qualify for the $2million Magic Millions stakes.
It's a huge ask however any black type Multichoice can win, will certainly increase her value for stud duties down the track making her an extremely valuable future broodmare.
Good luck to all her owners!
