The talented five-year-old combined once again with Tim Clark for trainer Michael Freedman, adding another Rosehill victory to a record that is becoming remarkably consistent at the track.

Polyglot has now built an impressive career record of 19 starts for four wins, four seconds and four thirds, with earnings approaching $470,000.

But it is Rosehill where he really comes alive.

From 10 appearances at the track, Polyglot has now recorded three wins, three seconds and three thirds — an outstanding record that highlights just how well he handles the circuit.

Today's victory was also a great bounce-back performance after things simply didn't go his way at Rosehill a fortnight ago. Prior to that, Polyglot had produced a gutsy victory over 1100m at the same track on July 4, also ridden by Tim Clark.

That makes it two wins from his past three starts, both at Rosehill and both with Clark aboard.

PEDIGREE PAED WITH QUALITY

Polyglot certainly has the breeding to be a good horse.

He is a son of the late champion Lonhro, one of the great Australian racehorses and stallions of the modern era. Known as The Black Flash, Lonhro won an extraordinary 26 of his 35 starts, including 11 Group 1 races, before becoming a Champion Australian Sire.

On the dam side, Polyglot is out of the British-bred mare Wordcraft, a daughter of outstanding international sire Shamardal.

It gives Polyglot a wonderful blend of Australian speed and toughness through Lonhro combined with the elite European blood of Shamardal — and he continues to make the most of that pedigree on the racetrack.

Originally raced by Godolphin, Polyglot has proven to be a fantastic acquisition for his Darby Racing ownership group. Since joining Michael Freedman's Randwick stable, he has continued to develop and is now putting together a very good record in Sydney Saturday company.

A huge congratulations to Michael Freedman and his entire team for having Polyglot in such great order, and to Tim Clark, who again knows exactly how to get the best out of him.

Most importantly, congratulations to Polyglot's fantastic group of Darby Racing owners.

There is nothing better than winning a Saturday metropolitan race — and to see this horse continue to race so consistently and reward his owners with another Rosehill victory is extremely satisfying.

Polyglot is racing with confidence, loves Rosehill and, with four wins and eight further placings from just 19 starts, there looks to be plenty more fun ahead for his ownership group.

Congratulations Team Polyglot!
