Back-to-back wins for Bat Out Of Hell!

Bat Out Of Hell has certainly found a new lease on life in the Sunshine State, making it back-to-back victories with another terrific win at Eagle Farm on Saturday!

The seven-year-old son of Hellbent has been a revelation since making the move north to the Gold Coast stable of Michael Freedman, and Saturday's victory was further proof that a change of scenery can sometimes make all the difference.

After breaking a frustrating run of outs with a well-deserved victory at Eagle Farm on September 23, The Bat returned to the same track on Saturday, October 10, stepping up in both distance and grade to tackle the 1400m Benchmark 78.

Despite the tougher assignment, he was up to the challenge, showing plenty of determination to claim another victory and take his career record to six wins and over $367,000 in prizemoney.

A special mention must go to apprentice jockey Jace McMurray, who partnered The Bat beautifully, giving him every opportunity before the gelding dug deep to hold off his rivals in a thrilling finish.

Credit also goes to Michael Freedman, Lee Freedman and his Gold Coast team, who have done a fantastic job turning the horse's fortunes around. Two starts in Queensland for two wins is an outstanding result and a wonderful reward for everyone involved.

Most importantly, a huge congratulations to our loyal owners! Racing is full of highs and lows, and this group has certainly shown plenty of patience and faith along the journey. To see The Bat return to winning form, and now string together consecutive victories, makes the success even more satisfying.

It's fair to say The Bat has found his home in Queensland, and we look forward to seeing what he can achieve next!

Congratulations to all connections — UP THE BAT! 🦇🏇
