APPEARED MAKES IT TWO FROM TWO IN AUSTRALIA

Exciting imported stayer Appeared has continued his perfect start to life in Australia, making it two wins from two starts with another impressive victory at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

The Bjorn Baker-trained gelding arrived in Australia with a reputation as a progressive staying prospect, and so far he has done everything asked of him.

After making a winning Australian debut over 1880m at Newcastle last month, Appeared stepped up in both distance and grade at Warwick Farm, tackling the 2200m BM72. Sent out a dominant favourite, he again delivered under Dylan Gibbons, showing plenty of determination to get the job done.

It was another important step forward for a horse we believe has considerable upside.

Appeared is a beautifully bred son of Triple Crown champion Justify, out of Living The Life, and was sourced from overseas by Hubie de Burgh of de Burgh Equine.

He came to Australia after showing staying promise in Ireland, including breaking his maiden over 2414m at the Curragh, and his record now stands at an impressive five starts for three wins and a placing.

What has been particularly encouraging is how quickly he has adapted to Australian racing.

His Newcastle victory was full of promise, but to come out at just his second Australian start, step up to 2200m and win again shows he is heading firmly in the right direction.

Two starts. Two wins.

There is still plenty more improvement to come as he continues to acclimatise and strengthen, and we are very excited to see just how far Appeared can progress through the grades.

A special mention also goes to his breeder Hank Nothhaft, who has remained involved in the horse and is now part of the ownership group racing him in Australia.

Appeared has certainly made his presence felt since arriving Down Under — and we get the feeling his Australian story is only just beginning.
