Selita does it again, winning impressively at Canterbury

Selita (Shaft x Katie Kerfuffle) looked ultra impressive today at Canterbury winning the Benchmark 72 Fillies and Mares Handicap by a length and a half making it back to back victories after saluting at Kembla to break her maiden.

Once again partnered by Adam Hyeronimus, Selita sped to the lead early from her awkward draw before surrendring the lead mid race. Turning for home, Adam navigated a path off the fence shooting to the front with an outstanding turn of foot to win her 2nd race at just her 6th start.

Trainer Bjorn Baker has only had the mare for 3 starts now for 2 wins and an unlucky 2nd and believes she can progess quickly to Saturday grade. 'She's an outstanding type who should be able to go up through her grades, She has always shown us plenty on the track'.

Selita has encountered many problems over her short career but appears now to be sound and on her way to many more victories based on today's win.

Congratulations to all her patient owners!
