DARBY RACING & DAVID VANDYKE SHOW ROLL ON AFTER 'HE'S A NATURAL' WINS AT HIS 2ND STA
Darby Racing and Warwick Farm trainer David Vandyke are enjoying a stellar run after feats of GROUP 1 winning 2YO Yankee Rose saluted in the Sires Produce Stakes on the 1st day of the Championships and 2nd in the Group 1 Golden Slipper stakes. This was backed up with yet another winner at Mudgee yesterday when the inexperienced 'He's A Natural' won at his second start over 1200m.
Ridden by Blake Spriggs a treat, the son of Canny Lad sat in the one out one back position, was presented at the top of the straight and looked all set to put a space on the rest of the field, no sooner had He's A Natural hit the front, he began to stargaze somewhat with the blinkers on for the first time for before refocusing over the final 100m to score well.
Blake Spriggs reported that it was a good win, he got lost in front and actually his attention was taken by a reflection off a car, he was going to win very easily but I had to work on getting him to refocus and he got the job done well. very green and new but plenty of improvement to come.

A number of jubilant owners were on track to cheer home the handsome gelding and despite it only being a maiden at a country track, the owners were thrilled to be rewarded for all their patience.
David Vandyke will continue to educate He's A Natural and set him for a class 1 at Nowra Sunday fortnight. David believes with time and experience, He's A Natural can develop into a city grade galloper.
Congratulations to all his owners
