DARBY RACING LAUNCH A STALLION PROSPECT - A SNITZEL COLT WITH GERRY HARVEY
Darby Racing are proud to announce and launch our sensational colt by the Sire taking all before him - SNITZEL out of the sensational producing mare HOOTENANNY. Purchased off the famous Baramul stud at the Magic Millions premier sale in January and identified by the Darby Racing team as not only a sensational athlete but also a genuine stallion prospect. This colt is not only by hot pot SNITZEL, he is also the half brother to leading 1st season Sire by winners SIDEREUS, who stands in Queenland at Oaklands stud. He is also a half brother to stakes winner Velrosso and hails from the family of St Klaire, Bonanova and Telesto.
Baramul Stud proprietor and Australia's largest owner of thoroughbreds, Gerry Harvey, was so taken with this colt and his potential for stud value, he retained a 20% share to race with Darby Racing and their owners. (Gerry Harvey & Scott Darby pictured below)
The amazing brown colt, is big, strong and extremely athletic, he will continue to fill into his big frame and has an amazing length of stride.
Darby Racing have already produced one Snitzel colt to not only win Group races but to be purchased for stud duties by well known stud, Kitchwin Hills. His name is Time For War and gave his owners the thrill of a lifetime on the racetrack winning two Group 2's however the big payday came when studs came knocking. This impressive colt by Snitzel with be trained by Group 1 winning trainer BJORN BAKER at Warwick Farm who can't wait to get his hands on him.
