The ever consistent 'SNITZELWOOD' won his 5th race yesterday at Geelong after leading all the way in the 1900m Benchmark 58 handicap.

Ridden by Corey Parish for Lindsay Park (David Hayes & Tom Dabernig), Snitzelwood had to lump the impossible weight of 62.5kgs over the 1900m journey.

Corey sent the big baldy faced son of Snitzel straight to the front and coming to the 600m mark, skipped away by 3 lengths and full of running. Tiring very late in the straight, Snitzelwood put in a Herculean performance to hang on and win by half a length, giving all his loyal owners a huge thrill and hope that he may even stretch out further in journey.

Snitzelwood has now had 19 starts for 5 victories, 5 placings and almost $70,000 in prize money. Snitzelwood is a credit to his owners and trainer, tough, consistent and hopefully many more wins in store.

Congratulations to his owners
