She Will Reign - Dream Start - Another Slipper runner?

Never have I been involved with a more promising start to a 2YO fillies career than on Saturday, when I witnessed our very own 'She Will Reign' demolish her rivals at kembla Grange in the 1000m 2YO maiden.

Twelve months ago we unearthed our current star 'Yankee Rose', who this year won two Group 1's and over $2million in stakes earnings, she finished 2nd in the Golden Slipper and 3rd in the Cox Plate behind super freak 'Winx'.

Just when we thought it may be very tough to find such a high class filly like Yankee Rose ever again, such is her ability, along comes potentially a 2YO filly that could very well exceed her feats by going one better in next year's Golden Slipper. Bred to be more precocious and faster than our Yankee Rose, it will be exciting to see just how good She Will Reign is over the coming months.

She Will Reign trained by astute Warwick Farm mentor - Gary Portelli, will get her chance to get among the stakes money when she is likely to back up this Saturday in the William Inglis & Son Nursery for 2YO's that were purchased at their sales. A $500,000 2YO event, this race also carries restricted Listed status which is huge for her breeding CV after racing.

She Will Reign was purchased for just $20,000 + GST at this year's Inglis Classic Sales and syndicated with breaking in, insurance, training etc for just $2,500 a 5% share. A small price to pay for the potential this exciting filly is showing. She was prepared by one Australia's premier farms Middlebrook Station Equine by Jilly & Tony Henderson and represented at the sale under the Ambergate Farm draft.

After last Saturday, She Will Reign was one of the most talked about 2YO fillies in the country and already has come into 2nd and in some markets, favourite for next years Golden Slipper. Certainly an amazing way to start any horses career and hopefully this will continue this Saturday at Randwick. Good Luck and congratulations to all her owners.
