Tornado of Souls storms to victory on debut

Last Thursday at Wyong saw our first starter 'Tornado of Souls' make his debut after two super trial wins and he didn't let us down.

Ridden exceptionally well by Tye Angland, Tornado positioned outside the leader on what looked to be a very good speed. The well backed fav Tswalu had the run of the race just behind the leader but was no match for our highly promising 3YO 'Tornado of Souls' who when asked to quicken, put them away quickly to win comprehensively.

Tornado Of Souls was purchased from the Inglis scone sale last year for just $18,000 with the hope to win a trial and sell him overseas for a profit. Purchased by Darby Racing in conjunction with Dennis Griffin and trainer Michael Costa, whilst we have had no luck as yet trading the strapping gelding overseas, we are now reaping the benefits of winning races. Under the care of Bjorn Baker at Warwick Farm at the moment, Tornado Of Souls is likely to head to Randwick on Saturday the 14th of January in a benchmark 72 3YO handicap where we hope he will continue to win and gain the attention of the overseas buyers.
