Wicked Sensation breaks her maiden in style

Wicked Sensation by Bel Esprit out of the Zabeel mare Zumbarina, broke her maiden at just her 4th start over 1500m at Mornington today in fantastic style.

Trained at Lindsay Park by David/Ben Hayes & Tom Dabernig, Wicked Sensation was not showing too much early but always needed that time to mature, strengthen and learn to race. At just her 4th start today and stepping up in journey, Wicked Sensation was very good peeling off the leaders at the top of the short straight before overhauling them and doing her best work late. She was ridden a treat by South African apprentice Callan Murray

Wicked Sensation looks a real progressive 3YO filly that should continue to improve with more racing and distance. The win certainly signaled that 2000m should be right up her alley as she looks to be really throwing to the Zabeel side of her Dam's pedigree. Many more wins look in store!

Congratulations to all her patient owners
