Dark Eyes wins in a tough display at Randwick

Snitzel 4YO - Dark Eyes is putting together quite the record after winning his 4th race yesterday at Randwick at just his 12th start. He is also gaining a reputation as one of the toughest horses in training after looking beat with 150m to run but lifted off the canvass by gun jockey Tye Angland to win impressively.

Trained by the in form partnership of Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott, Dark Eyes was sent out a warm favourite yesterday in the Benchmark 72 1400m handicap. Dark Eyes had to lump the huge impost of 61.5kgs before fighting his way to the line to win by a neck.

Dark Eyes is by, in my opinion, the best Sire in the land, SNITZEL and really looks every bit like his famous father. Dark Eyes is a tricky horse to ride as he can switch off in races and can be lazy but with the strong riding of Tye Angland, Dark Eyes always fights and gives his all.

The stable will continue to tick him over aiming at more city success in his benchmark events around the 1400-1600m

You have to love the way this bloke fights in a race - more wins in store - keep following!

Congratulations to all his owners
