Unchartered finally realises her portential

It was great to see our very well bred 'Unchartered' break her maiden at the Sunshine Coast yesterday in the 1400m maiden.

Unchartered by the ill fated Sire, Sequalo, is out of the well related mare Avenel and hails from the family of, Tickets, Duporth, Staging and Excites. She is also a full sister to Stakes winner Caliente.

Ridden an absolute treat by James Orman, Unchartered positioned beautifully just off the speed, was produced for her run at the top of the straight and showed a good turn of foot to run down the well backed fav. Murtasteel.

Trained by the leading Sunshine Coast trainer, Stuart Kendrick, Unchartered's win was a real reward for her patient loyal owners as her first 3 starts saw her beat by 8 - 13 lengths in each race. She ran 4th at her 4th race start signalling that a win was close. Not only did she win well but she also was well backed by owners at around the $10 mark.

Many more wins look in store for this very athletic, well bred filly as she continues to learn to race and physically develop.
