Star Sensations books a start in the Magic Night Stakes after a dominant win at Hawkesbury

It's been another stellar 2YO racing season for Darby Racing after syndicating Golden Slipper favourite and undefeated star - She Will Reign and also stakes placed Mystic Empire. On Tuesday at Hawkesbury we unleashed yet another promising 2YO to win most impressively named Star Sensation.

Trained by up and coming star trainer Mark Newnham, Star Sensation was unlucky not win on debut at Kembla after ambling up to the leader before losing focus and being grabbed late on the line by a nose.

Star Sensation made good improvement from kembla and ridden a treat by in form apprentice Rachel Murray, Star Sensation dominated her rivals at Hawkesbury to win comfortably and booking her ticket to run in the last lead up to this years Golden Slipper, the Magic Night Stakes.

Mark Newnham describes Star Sensation as the ideal 2YO filly, athletic, tough, great eater and intelligent.

Credit must go to previous trainer Michael Costa who found this filly at the Scone Inglis sale where we purchased her for a mere $20,000. Like She Will Reign, Star Sensation had to find a new trainer after Michael Costa relocated to the Gold Coast.
