Darby Racing breaks $5million in stakes earnings this season with a city treble today at Warwick Far

A record breaking season for Darby Racing!

As I reflect on this current season, with just over 4 weeks remaining, I find it hard to put into words how blessed and elated I feel with how this current season of racing has gone.

Darby Racing currently sits on 53 wins, after a city treble today at Warwick Farm and Doomben. Over $5million in stakes earnings for our clients including 2 Group 1 wins, 3 Group or Listed wins and 5 other Stakes placings.

Obviously winning the Golden Slipper this season with She Will Reign and the Spring Champion Stakes with Yankee Rose was a real highlight however winning 3 metro city races today at Warwick Farm and Doomben from 4 runners, is certainly a worthy highlight.

Our stunning Pierro gelding named Noviero kicked off the day at Warwick Farm with a strong win, leading all the way, this promising well bred youngster has plenty of upside as he is still yet to work out how to put it all together over the final stages, showing raw ability and greenness to get the job done.

Congratulations to all his owners, plenty more wins in store for this highly talented gelding by the champion racehorse - PIERRO.

Race 4 on the card at Warwick Farm saw the ever consistent Not A Single Doubt gelding, Samadoubt, step up to the mile for the first time. Ridden a treat in front by boom apprentice Jean Van Overmeire, Samadoubt won with real authority by 3 lengths, stamping him, to continue his rise in distance in the future.

Congratulations to all his owners, well deserved and looking forward to seeing him back on a Saturday at Rosehill over 1800m next up.

To round out a wonderful day, another Not A Single Doubt gelding, Patronizing, saluted for leading Sunshine Coast trainer - Stuart Kendrick. Ridden to perfection by James Orman, Patronzing sat in the gun seat before overhauling the leader in the last 150m to win convincingly.

Congratulations to his very patient owners, he never looked like getting beat today.

2016/17 season will be one I will never forget. Darby Racing is looking to finish this season off strongly before getting ready for what looks a huge spring in store for us and our owners!
