Kickstart My Heart sets his owners hearts racing at the Gold Coast

One of our most improved horses in the Darby Racing camp, is lightly raced, Michael Costa trained, Kickstart My Heart. By Denman, this gorgeous black gelding started his career in Sydney and has taken quite sometime to put it altogether.

Slowly but surely this good looking son of Denman improved with time, before breaking his maiden last Saturday in dominant fashion.

Ridden by Luke Dittman, son of legendary jockey, Mick Ditman, Kickstart My Heart pored the pressure on up front before taking the lead heading into the straight by a few lengths and maintaining the pressure right to the line to win his maiden in most impressive fashion.

Young trainer Michael Costa, noted that his track work has just continued to improve and his last gallop before his victory, Michael reported, that it was the best gallop he has ever delivered. So it was no suprise to see Kickstart My Heart do what he did.

Purchased for just $35,000 at the Magic Millions national sale, Kickstart My Heart has now rewarded his patient owners and based on his maiden victory, I believe more wins are just around the corner.
