DEITCH - The Ultimate Warrior
In last 2 years, Darby Racing, through our syndication's, may have won Golden Slippers and Group 1 events BUT equally satisfying was seeing the warrior, DEITCH break through yesterday at the Sunshine Coast for a long overdue win.
Deitch is the ultimate warrior as he may have only won 4 races from 36 starts but he backs up week after week earning valuable cheques for his large ownership group. In fact Deitch, has run in the top 3 on 20 occasions of those 36 starts showing he is always in for a fight.
This preparation has seen Deitch head to the races 10 times for one win, three 2nd s and two 3rds.
It's a real testament to trainer Stuart Kendrick who continues to present Deitch to the races in great order and he continues to give his all.
Yesterday Deitch was partnered by Luke Tarrant who seems to really click with the son of Denman as it's widely believed that horses just run for Luke, which suits Deitch's pattern.
Deitch was sent straight to the front, rated to perfection in front before kicking away for a comfortable to win. Hopefully this win will give him the confidence to win again shortly.
