Star Australian mares give birth in Japan
A good thing happened to the world of horse racing.
And it was in Japan.
Two much loved, admired, and followed, Australian Gr 1 winning mares, had babies.
They being Gr 1 Golden Slipper winner SHE WILL REIGN (Manhattan Rain-Courgette) and Gr 1 Vinery Stud Stakes winner SINGLE GAZE.
Firstly, to She Will Reign. Her baby is by global superstar stallion Heart’s Cry who is by Sunday Silence.
Heart’s Cry, himself a Gr 1 winner, is also the sire of the brilliant and recent Gr 1 Cox Plate winner Lys Gracieux as well as the recent Gr 1 winner Suave Richard.
The She Will Reign foal is a colt so already is worth over a $1million.
As for Single Gaze, her foal is a colt as well.
He’s by Lord Kanaloa, himself a Gr 1 winner and the sire of global superstar, Gr 1 winner Almond eye.
Both mums and their boys are doing very well at Hokkaido’s Northern Farm.
