Snitzelwood does it again - win number 6
Iron horse, 'Snitzelwood' continues to thrive under trainers David Hayes & Tom Dabernig notching up win number 6 from just 21 starts.
Snitzerwood last Friday, won the 1900m Benchmark 64 by 1.25 lengths carrying a whopping 61.5kgs and ridden by Corey Parish. Snitzelwood likes to dominate from the front and drive his rivals into the ground but on this occasion led before taking a sit mid race and then finishing too well over the final 300m to record a very good victory.
Snitzelwood has been a model of consistency this preparation racing on 9 occasions for 3 wins and 2 placings. The most impressive part to his racing this time in, is the way he has been able to lump the huge weights, as for most races this time in, Snitzelwood has raced below his benchmark ensuring lower class but hefty weights.
Snitzelwood in between runs is schooled over the jumps to keep his fitness levels up and also to keep him fully focused. Such is his love and ability over the hurdles, it has been suggested by his trainers that a career over the jumps beckons once he has reached his mark over the flat.
Congratulations to all his owners and hopefully many more wins are in store!
