Full Throttle accelerates to win his maiden
Promising 3YO gelding 'Full Throttle' broke his maiden yesterday at Goulburn at just his 2nd career start for Randwick partnership Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.
It was a dominant display by Full Throttle, controlling the speed up front with gun hoop Adam Hyeronimus in the saddle rating him to perfection. Full Throttle never looked in trouble before the well backed favourite 'Spring Creek Star' chased him down over the last 200m but was comfortably held on the line. The margin being a comfortable neck with some 4 lengths back to the 3rd horse, in a very strong 3YO maiden handicap.
The overall time was very good for the 1200m, run in 1:10.55 in comparison to the class 3 on the day run in 1:11.14.
Full Throttle was a $95,000+GST purchase from the 2015 Inglis Classic sale, by Charge Forward out of the Snitzel mare Milanesa. He is an outstanding type, very powerfully built and looks like the 1400-1600m will be right up his alley on pace. One to keep an eye on!
Congratulations to all his owners
