Darby owners have the winning ticket with Mr.T

Some of Darby Racing's owners had reason to celebrate when their lightly raced 3YO gelding 'Mr Tickets' romped away with a 5 length victory at Nowra yesterday in the 1600m set weights maiden.

Nick named 'Mr.T' and trained by one of the hottest new trainers in Sydney, 'Mark Newnham', Mr Tickets was sent straight to front by jockey Jeff Penza and never gave his rivals a look in leading all the way.

Mr Tickets is another bargain buy from the Inglis Scone sale at just $6,500 and has already won $27,000 from 4 starts, in fact Mr Tickets has never been out of the top 3 in all 4 starts. The Inglis Scone sale has been very good to Darby Racing with other notable purchases, Time For War (multiple Group 2 winner and now Sire) and Look To The Stars (Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed)

Mr Tickets is a big raw athletic machine that looks to have plenty of scope to develop into a lovely metro middle distance horse. He still does plenty wrong and is still filling into his big frame which can only be to his advantage with more time and experience.

There is nothing like winning, whether is be a Group 1 at Randwick or a maiden at Nowra, we just LOVE winning.
